Role:Project Manager within the organization of an Italian company, operating in the installation of MEP in Industrial Plants / Complex Infrastructural Projects  

Location  :Doha, Qatar

Base Requirements

Education:Mechanical  / Electrical Engineering Master’s degree (PMP Certification shall be an advantage)

Languages:Excellent communication skills with high proficiency in written and spoken English

Nationality:     European

Informative Systems:MSOffice Package (Word, Excel, Power Point), Windows Operating system.

Work experience:15 years minimum (Minimum 05 Yrs. as Project Manager)

Age:35 years → 50 years

 Good organizing abilities, team leadership and negotiation skills.

Competence and Skills

Overall responsibility for preparation, execution and completion of Complex Projects such as Chemical, Petrochemical industry as well as Refineries and Industrial Plants.

The Project Manager is accountable for project delivery and profit & Loss by managing all project activities and resources while ensuring client satisfaction (including HSE, Quality, Time & Cost);

To study the Contracts, Scope of work, requirements, direct Indirect cost assessments;

Multicultural skills, ability to manage large and complex environments, ability to communicate at senior level in different cultural spheres;

Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering, design and codes;

Familiar with the regulatory standard and procedures of electrical industry;

Attention to detail with excellent communication and project management skills;

Possess sound organizational and analytical skills;

Perform responsibilities of analysing complex engineering problems and offer solutions for the same;

Responsible for direction to a team of designers, engineers and support personnel;

Coordination  of multiple departments on complex Projects;

Focal point of contact for clients, partners and major vendors/subcontractors;

Ensures project execution within time, budget and QA QC / HSE requirements by allocating resources,  managing risks/opportunities and changes;

Ensures timely internal and external reporting;

Contributes to people development by interfacing with project department and HR;

Guarantees achievement of improvement of P&L forecasts;

Ensures coordination of interfaces;

Ensures project execution and financial close out with appropriate feedback;

Creates a Quality and HSE oriented work climate that encourages client satisfaction and HSE 

consciousness among the project team;

Role Description

Reporting to the General Manager;

Study the Contracts, Scope of work, requirements, direct Indirect cost assessments;

Project management activities associated with managing the project's workflows and performance; such activities would initially include establishing the project baseline metrics and parameters required to control the project during the implementation stage;

Project management control and reporting activities as well as produce the progress reports with company management and clients, review of the risk register monthly, communication meetings with project team, review the weekly and the monthly progress reports, approval of material requisitions etc.;

Preparation of the monthly progress invoice; 

Preparation of the Variation Orders.
